A fair Harrisburg for EVERYONE.

Harrisburg is my home. The prosperity of the city is important to me. As a proud, lifelong resident of the city, I want to provide service to the city I love.  I wish to aid the mayor in advancing Their agenda, while providing a check against unnecessary excesses.  I want to help revitalize Harrisburg's ailing neighborhoods, by participating in creating a vision for its future.

I believe our top priorities are...

Economic Development

Building from the Bottom Up.

  • Attract Corporate Investment: Focus on bringing major businesses to Downtown Harrisburg and Allison Hill to stimulate local economic growth.

  • Empower Small Businesses: Create opportunities for small businesses to partner with larger companies when contracting with the city, helping them scale up and compete for bigger projects.

  • Activate City Island: Develop a Merchant Village and a walkable marketplace to increase year-round activity beyond baseball games.

  • Revitalize Allison Hill: Establish an Allison Hill Improvement District to promote community events like Taste of the Hill, fostering local engagement and economic activity.

Affordable Housing

Safe, Quality, and Accessible.

  • Increase Housing Stock: Expand access to quality, affordable housing to meet demand and provide stability for residents.

  • "Buy Back Our Blocks" Initiative:

    • Offer owner-occupants the opportunity to purchase vacant lots and homes for $1.

    • Provide financing for both purchase and renovations, ensuring affordability.

    • Direct renovation projects to Harrisburg contractors, incorporating youth construction education programs to build skills and careers.

  • Protect Renters: Expanding homeownership opportunities will reduce the ability of landlords to exploit tenants with skyrocketing rents.

  • A Bold Goal—End Homelessness in Harrisburg: Take significant steps toward eradicating homelessness through strategic investment and support programs.

Public Safety & Community Well-Being

Safe, Quality, and Accessible.

  • Reduce Crime by Investing in Youth: Expand access to arts programs, internships, and apprenticeships to provide meaningful opportunities for young people.

  • Walkable & Safe Streets: Follow Harrisburg’s strategic plan to create interconnected, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods.

  • Environmental & Water Infrastructure: Work with Capital Region Water (CRW) to address stormwater runoff, ensuring clean waterways and keeping sewage out of the river.

My Priorities in Budget Spending are...

I have increased funding for the Neighborhood Mitigation Fund and the Parks & Recreation Fund, prioritizing tangible benefits for Harrisburg residents. My focus is on enhancing the safety and appeal of our aging housing stock to retain and attract residents. Additionally, I am committed to expanding recreational and arts opportunities, providing young people with positive alternatives to the streets.

As a member of Harrisburg City Council I have:

  • Pioneered the $1 Owner-Occupant Home Purchase Plan in partnership with the Harrisburg Redevelopment Authority and NACA Mortgage. This initiative makes it easier for residents to purchase distressed homes and abandoned lots while also providing capital for renovation or new construction of affordable housing—regardless of credit history. Additionally, construction jobs under this program will be prioritized for Harrisburg-based contractors. The program is currently in its trial phase.

  • Advocated for greater diversity in city contracts by voting to accept a comprehensive diversity study highlighting the lack of contracts awarded to minority- and women-owned businesses. This study serves as the foundation for increasing opportunities in construction and professional services for these underrepresented enterprises.

  • Voted to eliminate debt resulting from the costly and mismanaged incinerator upgrade deal, relieving financial burdens on the city.
